Medical Office Building
#23021 (Alpharetta, GA)
As Marietta Street continues to evolve from its small-scale agricultural and domestic historic roots, the proposed project at 204 aims to seamlessly integrate qualities and characteristics of both residential and commercial. To that ultimate end, we’ve utilized a blend of the pre-approved Greek Revival/NeoClassical academic styles – a timeless design elegance that has served Southern buildings for over 200 years.
Our proposal embodies a well-proportioned balance of monumentality and classical elegance without being overwhelming. The grand 2-sory elevation facing Marietta Street harmonizes with the large residential context next door and across the street. The rear elevation, equally refined with its repeated grand portico composition, addresses the active vehicular thoroughfare Old Milton Parkway. All mechanical equipment is concealed within a recessed well in the roof, preserving the architectural integrity of the design. We believe this proposal will be a jewel box in the neighborhood – contextually suitable, compatible scale and proper in every way for this transitional edge location of downtown.
