Concept - Office Building

#21016 (Milton, GA)

This project sits at a primary location of great importance to the city center of Milton. In fact, some consider this roundabout corner the “gateway” to the city of Milton/Crabapple coming from the east end. Such a grand location commands a feature” edifice nestled in a landscaped garden setting. The highly visible corner insists the building have no “rear” side. Therefore, all four facades each exhibits a clean presentation of simple elegance, and a recognition of its single-use/owner-occupied business. The scope and scale of the facility complies with Milton’s desire to decrease the height and density on this “edge” of town. The street frontages (south and east) are completely landscaped and hardscaped with no car access. All vehicular parking and access are screened below on the lower basement level, accessed from the north. A rooftop terrace area serves the building occupants, while all mechanical equipment is screened on the roof from public view. The building, featuring traditional brick wall elements and historically inspired fenestration rhythm, provides a refreshing addition to the downtown urban fabric of Vernacular Industrial – a nod to the historic brick warehouse nostalgia of the past.
