This private single family residence concept takes its inspiration from a well-known historic 1852 property in Biloxi, Mississippi (www.visitbeauvoir.org).  Beauvoir was never a plantation due to infertile soil.  Instead, like so many other homes built along the Mississippi Gulf Coast during the late antebellum period, Beauvoir served as a vacation retreat.  Beauvoir’s architectural features, massing scale and composition (per our clients’ direction) provided the inspiration, but the new floor plan and site plan we created are totally customized to our unique site and client family needs.  Sitting at a prominent street intersection of the city of Madison, this small suburban estate supports a growing family and compliments the community and neighborhood.
