First Baptist Church Remodel

#08014-20040 (Cumming, GA)

The story of First Baptist Cumming chronicles a church on the move on mission with God. From its beginnings in 1835 as a one-room log cabin, the First Baptist campus, originally called Cumming Baptist Church, has outgrown five worship centers. To facilitate the growth and expansion of its ministries, the church relocated to its third campus in 2001. First Baptist Church’s towering steeple is more than a landmark on the North Georgia horizon–it’s a testimony of God’s faithfulness to His church. First Baptist Cumming has a great heritage that is exceeded only by its vision to make an eternal difference in people’s lives. Today’s campus spans almost 40acres, blending facilities for children, teenagers, and ministry staff. Planning & Design by Benchmark Design, PC has helped guide new planned facilities and a master plan that better merges with the ever-expanding urban fabric of the City of Cumming and the County of Forsyth. Individual projects include an expansion of the front entrance including a large, covered drop-off canopy, a new bell tower memorial that features the original church bell, and a 66,000 sq foot 3-story children’s building constructed 2016.
